- 作者從香港及新加坡兩地的中學華文課本的編原與方法的異同，探討與閱讀教學有關的種種問題。作者認為在寫作技巧上，新加坡的課文比不上香；從文章的內容看，新加坡華文課本的素材比香港的優勢，這主要是因為新加坡課文更符合學生的「生活、體驗」，不過新加坡課本的缺點在於教材忽視了「觀察」和「思維」能力的訓練。（何文勝整理）
