- The author argues that science curriculum in basic education should be firmly grounded on a common coherent and progressive framework that aims to build up student's science concepts and process skills across the period of compulsory education. Further, such continuity and progression could be realized in terms of redefined curricular goals and teaching practices at successive stages of schooling.
