- In this research, the conception towards assessment are divided into three: the norm-referenced and quantitative, the criterion-referenced and qualitative, and the pseudo-criterion-referenced and qualitative conception. Views of Target Oriented Curriculum (TOC) teachers is found to be more pupil-oriented in assessment. The research findings show that factors influencing teachers' conceptions towards assessment include teaching experiences, teacher education, TOC training, and the existing primary school curriculum.
