- The author reports the findings of a study which examines the phenomenon of foreign language speech anxiety among 500 Hong Kong secondary school students. The author finds that form 6 students reported significantly higher levels of anxiety than junior students, and that perception of self as a speaker of English correlated highly and negatively with anxiety.
