近年，本港中小學開始推行STEM教育，透過教導學生靈活地綜合運用科學、科技、工程和數學各方面的知識，致力培養學生「廿一世紀技能」，以應對新時代的挑戰。本文將會簡介STEM教育在香港推行的狀況，並探討當中面對的困難和挑戰。Recently, Hong Kong primary and secondary schools have been promoting STEM education. Teaching students how to flexibly integrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics knowledge facilitates them to equip themselves with “21st century skills” so that they can face the challenges of this new era. 本文旨在探討實習教師在香港新高中課程改革的路途上，如何就新課程的學科發展、學生背景和學科教學知識，建構他們的新知識，及所面對的挑戰。研究發現實習教師在建構新課程的教學知識過程中有很多疑慮，這些疑慮，主要來自新課程的學科知識變化所帶來的不確定感，學生的多元背景和課堂教學的挑戰，以及來自學校與社會的文化氛圍所帶來的影響，研究結果有助當局對課程發展的檢視，並教師教育的發展。

資訊科技發展迅速，對特殊教育(特教)學生的學習有深遠的影響。本文回顧香港學校的特殊教育資訊教育發展，分析教師的疑慮及發展的工作項目，透過了解電腦輔助學習及Web 2.0 的技術發展，特教學生將來也需要於網路上互相溝通及分享資訊，個人與個人之間(person to person, P2P)的溝通模式，將是發展新趨勢。展望將來，特殊教育資訊科技將會擺脫單一的傳統電腦輔助訓練及提供多媒體刺激的任務，反之，透過發展的硬體及環境互動與生活需要，特殊教育資訊科技更能為特教生提供體驗、溝通、分析與反思的平台，促進學生個人成長及與社會融合，從而達致平等學習機會。

跨境教育在全球化的情境中愈來愈吸引學者的研究興趣，香港的跨境學童教育是全球跨 境教育的一個獨特案例；目前，香港已有過萬名學童乘車從內地跨境上學，隨著父母雙方均非香港永久居民而在港出生的嬰兒數量急增，預估將會增至每天有數萬名跨境學童。本文的重點是討論和分析跨境學童對香港基礎教育的影響，並就跨境學童的政策、教學和社區教育作出建議。

在2013/14學年就讀公營學校的非華語學童為25,384人，政府以非華語學童政策來照顧這些少數族裔的教育；而因近年南亞裔學童在香港增加，指定學校的存廢和非華語學童學習中文成為了香港教育的爭議課題。為了剖析香港少數族裔學童的教育情況，本文從少數族裔在香港的教育、政府對非華語學童教育的照顧、非華語學童教育的現況、香港指定學校的興替、支援非華語學童的中文學習、非華語學童的其他需要和挑戰等方面作出分析和討論。

香港社會經濟成功轉型，不能單靠勤儉努力的傳統，還須發展鼓勵創意而持續發展的進取型社會。鼓勵純學術型的學校教育，已不能迎合急速社會發展的需要。多元智能的學校教育是新世紀時代當務之急。本文借鑑美國學者致力研究「創意新貴」，及研究發展「未來社會」創意社區的意念，藉此檢視發展本地創意社區的可能性。藝術教育對培育創意想像力及多元智能成效顯著，因此推動藝術教育而著重宏觀的青年政策，才有利建設「創意城市」，同時亦有助發展本港社會轉型的創意經濟，及建設具文化氣息優質社區的環境。
The successful restructuring of Hong Kong's economy does not merely rely on the traditional Chinese virtues of diligence and thrifty habits, it also needs to nurture a proactive society that treasures creativity and sustainable development. A school education emphasizing academic ability alone can no longer keep up with the ever-rising needs for social development. Conversely, school education emphasizing multiple-intelligences is to be acclaimed in the new millennium. This article makes reference to the latest research studies and ideas both on the Rise of the Creative Class in the U.S. and the development of a creative community for the future society to explore the possible development of a creative local community. The efficacy of Arts education on nurturing creativity, imagination and multiple intelligences is very apparent. Thus, it is of paramount importance to promote Arts education and a macro-perspective youth policy in order to construct a creative city which is also conducive to the transformation of the Hong Kong economy towards a creative economy, as well as a quality and cultural-rich community.

本文探討學校在推行新一輪資訊科技教育策略所面對的挑戰。當大家的注意力都在更換硬件或購置系統之餘，我們特別關心一些重點項目（電子學習、資訊素養、個人概覽）如何實行，讓老師、學生真正享受數碼學習的好處。我們提出「數碼校園」藍圖，認為學校的系統需要專業支援，才能有最大的效益。我們亦指出應用的關鍵在於「互動」兩個字，而不是系統有多少功能。許多學校發現內聯網及學習系統使用率偏低，我們期望學校購置新系統之餘，要關注網上學習與課堂教學如何配合，讓師生享受最大的教學成果。
This paper discusses the challenges faced by the implementation of new stage of the IT education strategy. Although public attention is on the upgrading of hardware and systems, we are especially concerned about the implementation of eLearning, eLiteracy, and ePorfolio, and whether the advantages of digital learning are enjoyed by teachers and students. We therefore propose the "School. HK" blueprint and suggest that the most beneficial result is achieved only when the systems in schools get professional support. We also point out that the key to learning is interaction, not the various functions of the systems. With regard to the low utility rate of intranets and eLearning systems in schools, we hope that there will be a greater concern with successfully coordinating Internet learning and classroom teaching in addition to purchasing new systems.

非殖民地化和回歸中國的政治變遷為本港的公民教育帶來新挑戰。可是八十年代以來的公民教育運動卻未能為本港學生的「公民角色」和1997年以後的政治變化作好準備。本文檢討近年公民教育計劃的目標、內容和正規和非正規課推行情況，並質疑其對本地學生在學習社會政治取向的效果。最後討論有關日後本地學校公民教育計劃措施和策略的一些重要課題。
The political changes of decolonization and reintegration with mainland China pose new challenges of civic education for Hong Kong schools, but the civic education movement in the mid-1980s onwards was problematic to fulfil the mission of preparing Hong Kong students for citizenship and the political change after 1997. This paper evaluates the recent objectives, contents and implementation of civic education in the formal and informal curriculums; and questions their impacts on local students' learning of social-political orientation. Finally, this paper discusses important issues concerning the strategies and policies of future civic education programmes in local schools.

雖然香港社會十分富裕，物質生活又十分充裕，但精神生活卻十分空虛。一般人都缺乏勞動而營養過多，引致身心不健康。孩子的數目也較從前少，所以孩子是父母的寶貝，大部分孩子都受父母的保護，甚至溺愛，加上社會和學校都不重視健康教育，不少研究發現香港的兒童、青少年和成年人身心靈都不健康。學校是兒童和青少年最重要和最有效的學習場所，所以學校肩負維護和增進學生身心健康的重大責任，而本文作者在其學校裏全力推動健康教育，當中包括學校政策、校舍環境、教學內容、健康服務、健康技能訓練，人際關係，校風建立，社區聯繫，學校合作等各方面。
Although Hong Kong is a wealthy society in physical terms, spiritual life seems to be hollow. Many people lack physical activities that may lead to over-nutrition and diminishing of health. Parents tend to protect or even spoil their only child. In addition, research conducted in Hong Kong concluded that health education is not considered important in schools and the society at large. Consequently, children, adolescents and adults were found at risk with regard to physical and spiritual health. Schools should be responsible for maintaining and promoting the healthy life of students, since they are the most important and efficient places for learning. In this respect, the author undertakes a concentrated effort in promoting health education in her school. Health education should include school policy, school environment, education content, health services, health skills training, interpersonal relationships, school spirit, community connections, family-school cooperation, etc.

教育改革特別強調我們的學生除了在課堂裡學習以外，更需要走出學校，在真實的環境中學習，拓闊學習的空間。香港輔導教師協會及教育署在27年前已開始舉行「暑期工作體驗計劃」，讓中五的同學在不同的工商機構工作，體驗工作世界的苦與樂。在每年的結業頒獎典禮中，學生們都異口同聲地表示此計劃令他們大開眼界，獲益良多。
The Education Reform emphasizes on the lifelong learning opportunities enabling a holistic development of the person. The Summer Work Experience Scheme provides for learning in contexts that cannot be offered during classroom tailored learning. The Hong Kong Association of Careers Masters and Guidance Masters, together with the Education Department, has organized the Summer Work Experience Scheme for the past 27 years. It allows Secondary 5 students to work in different organizations during the summer. Students find it an eye-opening opportunity to understand various work related issues.
