- 作者指出,從研究結果所得,學生是持著個人對周圍自然現象的先期觀念進入學習環境。這些概念可能不是教師所認為的科學家可接受的「正確」概念;作者認為,要學生改變這些概念,教師要注意到學生學習前持有的看法—學生的前期概念;讓學生多些機會運用畫圖、說話等不同的方法來表達他們的認知;然後提供與觀念亙動私教學活動讓學生改變及發展概念。
