閱讀與寫作都和文本有關，可通過文類教學聯結從閱讀到寫作的教學。實用文是教材與評估中的主要文類之一，本研究採用「閱讀促進寫作」文類教學法進行實用文的讀寫教學實踐。此教學法以系統功能語言學為基礎，形成從閱讀到寫作的完整教學設計，已證實在英文寫作教學領域有正面效果，但在中文教學及閱讀的應用仍處於發展階段。本研究進一步設計相應的閱讀理解評量表，以香港非華語學生為對象，通過前、後測及訪談等研究工具，收集量化及質性數據。研究結果顯示，「閱讀促進寫作」教學法能提升中文第二語言學習者的閱讀表現達5.9倍，寫作表現進步達1.4倍，且實驗班的讀寫進步幅度均顯著優於對照班，證明此教學法能大幅提升讀寫表現，可進一步推廣及融入於課程設計。Reading and writing are key components of literacy education, while genre pedagogy can be implemented to connect the teaching from reading to writing. Practical text is one of the main genre in teaching materials and assessment. Relevant pedagogy and research should be conducted to provide second language learners the knowledge about genre, context, and function of language about practical writing. Based on the theories of systemic functional linguistics, the “reading to learn, learning to write” (RLLW) pedagogy has demonstrated positive effect of improving English learners’ reading and writing competency. For further development of genre pedagogy in different languages, there is a need to investigate the effect and feasibility of applying RLLW in teaching languages other than English. This article reports on its effect on Chinese as second language education through mixed-method case study research. It proved that RLLW can improve non-Chinese speaking students’ reading performance by 5.9 times and writing performance by 1.4 times higher than pre-test, while both significantly better than the control group. 要裝備學生面對未來的世界，培養學生成為獨立的閱讀者以達致學會學習是教師非常重要的任務。對於在學習上有特殊教育需要的學生，常規的課堂未必能滿足他們的學習需要，本文展示一個結合元認知和動機理論的認知策略教學方案，倡議學校考慮採納針對性的閱讀策略輔導教學課，以交互教學法結合明確和直接的教學方式教授學生認知策略，讓學生於小學階段即能從小組互動的成功經驗中，建立自信、成為積極的讀者、享受從閱讀中學習的樂趣。 To prepare today's students to face tomorrow's challenge, one of teachers' crucial tasks is to help the students to develop a habit of reading independently aiming at learning to learn. For the students with special educational needs, regular classes may not satisfy their needs. This article aims to share a remedial teaching program design that combines metacognition and motivation theories and encourages schools to use remedial classes that specifically designed for teaching reading strategies for students who are weak in reading. By using reciprocal teaching with explicit and direct teaching of cognitive strategies, primary students are able to experience success via group interaction, to develop their self-confidence, to become active readers and to enjoy reading to learn as early as possible.

This paper reports on a treatment program for children with developmental dyslexia (specific reading disability) administered at the Developmental Dyslexia Clinic of the University of Hong Kong. Recent research attempts to relate poor reading abilities of dyslexics to the poor development of metalinguistic awareness (an awareness about the structure of orthography). The basic hypothesis behind this treatment program is that by fostering the flexible application of phonological regularity and consistency rules in reading, the reading performance of dyslexia children will improve. The training program is divided into three phases: the establishment of phonological regularity awareness in the first phase, the building of phonological consistency awareness in the second phase and the flexible application of regularity and consistency rules in the third phase. Results indicate that there is an overall improvement in post-treatment reading scores of the Hong Kong Graded Chinese Character Naming Test (HKGCNT). The probe results also reveal the corresponding effect of manipulating treatment materials on performance. The results suggest that the program is affecting the reading strategies used by the clients and is effective in improving reading performance. 本文報告在香港大學兒童讀寫障礙診所進行的三組療程。近期的研究指出，讀障學童的閱讀能力是由於元語言意識的發展不足所致。元語言意識是指讀者對文字結構的意識。讀者自行分析字型、語言和語義之間的關係，整理出一套形音義規則，再將規則靈活地應用在閱讀上。本療程的基本假設是︰如學童能靈活地運用中文字的語音規則性 (phonological regularity) 和語音一貫性 (phonological consistency) 規則，他們的閱讀能力會得以提升。療程分為三個階段:第一階段建立語音規則性的意識；第二階段建立語音一貫性的意識；第三階段促進語音規則和一貫性意識的靈活運用。結果顯示在治療後，學童在《香港中文單字閱讀測試》的表現有明顯的進步。在每節治療後進行的測驗則顯示，治療中所選用的字詞類別直接影響學童的元語言意識發展和閱讀策略，有提升閱讀能力的效果。

“朗讀”在香港小學中國語文教學上的應用是很普遍的，然而香港教育局和很多教師都沒有對它引起足夠的重視，甚至可以說完全忽略了朗讀的教學功能。本論文指出朗讀是一種很有效的教學法，可以用它帶動其它的教學環節，使課堂變得有趣而且更有效地提升學生的語文能力。文中提出了可行的施教方法供教師參考。

根據香港課程發展議會發布的課程文件，形成性與總結性兩種評估模式已涵蓋「持續」和「總結」評估的需要，而以評估的適時與回饋的即時效能來看，形成性評估顯示出以學習過程為主導的評估傾向，這正好體現「促進學習的評估」的精神。在語文學習中，文學學習是重要的組成部分，而閱讀則是課程發展的重點項目，因此，本文以文學教學的視點，初步探討怎樣結合學習過程與評估的設計原則與策略，以加強學與教的成效。

背景﹕為了更好地適應未來社會﹐學生必須具備批判性思考、創意性思考等高層級思維能力，相應地﹐現今中小學課程也已十分重視培養這些與評價有關的能力。為此﹐閱讀測試要準確地評估､發展學生的評鑒能力。
目的﹕討論如何編制試題﹐以評估學生的現代文閱讀評鑒能力﹐為教師在中文評估領域的專業發展提供參考。
方法﹕以閱讀、寫作理論、現行課程標準為基礎，分析2002-05 年中國內地、香港、新加坡各17份合計51 份中學實際使用的中文試卷。
主要結果﹕發展了中學現代文閱讀評鑒題的評核內容框架，設計了評鑒題型體系，指出了評鑒題的編制策略。初步發現三地評鑒題的區別。
總結﹕三地評鑒題的內容測試焦點不同﹐可相互參考。為了更好地評核評鑒能力﹐編制評鑒題要選取更廣泛的內容﹐採用多種題型﹐採取相應的編題策略。
Background: Students need to be equipped with higher thinking skills such as critical and creative thinking skills that are related to their evaluation ability in order to better prepare them for the future society. The current reading curricula worldwide emphasize on the enhancement of evaluation ability of students in schools. Accordingly, the comprehension tests should reflect these changes so as to improve teaching and learning.
Aim: This research aims to probe on how to set questions to better assess students' ability to evaluate / appreciate the thoughts, literacy structures and language etc. in comprehension tests of Chinese language as first language.
Method: The author sampled 51 comprehension tests from secondary schools in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore, and did a comprehensive content analysis based on multiple perspectives of theories on reading, writing, and the Chinese language curriculum development.
Results: A framework of contents to be tested has been structured; A few types of questions have been designed. In addition, some strategies for setting questions to assess students' evaluation ability in comprehension tests have also been discussed. The essential differences among the test papers in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore have been described.
Conclusion: There are a few key different focuses in assessing student's evaluation ability in the comprehension tests in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The author then concluded that, to ensure the assessing evaluation ability effectively, the scale of contents for testing should be broadened

作者指出，讀書人有自願讀書的，有被迫讀書的，有半自願半被迫的。最後一種若能轉化為愛上讀書的那就最好了。閱讀要能開闊思想、發掘深度。閱讀習慣養成之前需建立興趣。選材方面，文字有典範性、感情方面可提升思想情操、能開闊思想，方是好作品。教師若能以身作則、與學生共同閱讀，以精讀輔略讀，學生自有得益。（黃潔貞整理）
