- The author reports that 112 Chinese-speaking subjects were asked to fill out an English questionnaire to examine their collocation knowledge, followed by a Chinese version to verify the transfer. The author finds that transfer was the most commonly used approach and that, in phrasing L2 collocation, the advanced learners employed more native language vocabulary.
