- 作者指出，香港教署於98學年，開始在大部分中學實施母語教學，推行母語教學，從而幫助學生學習及加強學生了解中國文化；目前除114間英中外，其餘的中學，將逐年改用母語教學，母語教學有優點也有缺點，推行母語教學亦有不少困難，如一些不當的誤解、支持不足、教育界持保留態度，師資及教材上出現困難，製造名校效應等，這些困難需逐一克服。（黃潔貞整理）
