- As the five- year IT in education strategic plan (Education & Manpower Bureau, 1998) is successfully undergoing, the Hong Kong schools¡¦ IT teaching and learning environment has being the dramatically changes. Today, tremendous learning and teaching activities have been made possible via the Internet and intranet (Ross & Schulz, 1999). While the learning technology gains increasingly used in classrooms; it is worthy of paying attention to the adoption of Hong Kong teachers¡¦ attitudes on their IT practice in teaching. This provides an opportunity for an action research. As the beginning, a survey about how HK secondary teachers use of web-based learning resources was underway. This paper intends to give a brief discussion upon the initial findings in the survey.
