- 本文主要是從文獻中，通過分析學前教育學生及學校的數目、受訓教師的學歷及比率，回顧香港學前教育及幼師培訓百多年來的發展，期盼能為關心幼教的研究者及讀者對學前教育的歷史發展作參考。回顧香港學前教育的歷史，依其發展趨勢，筆者將之粗略分為五期：第一期為史前期（1842-1949）；第二期為放任期（1950-1979）；第三期為過渡期（1980-1996）；第四期為質保期（1997-2006）；第五期為學劵期（2006-2010）。彼此之間的發展亦息息相關，反影出政策與幼教持份者間的直接或間接互動關係。[Copyright © 2010 優質學校教育學報.]
