- 作者認為語文教科書在中文科教學中佔主導的地位。由於編寫教科的機制的限制，香港小學語文教科書的素質有待高，其中以下三方面的缺點值得注意：詩砍不易上口；故事平淡不吸引；欠缺代感。最後，作者認為除教科書外，還需要有輔助教材、多媒體手段及組織各種語文興趣小組等教學手段作為輔助，才能達到語文科的教學目標。（何文勝整理）
