作者強調課堂教學的誘導作用，是老師透過各種方法，借助學生已有知識與技能，啟導學生自行發現知識和進行能力的轉化。作者認為寫作課是一門「創造」的課，寫作的完成需要教師的誘導。教師進行誘導的方法包括：教師行為方式的誘導；課堂教學形式的誘導；競爭心理的誘導；時間的煎迫的誘導；作文選題的透導。（何文勝整理）
