- 作者指出，香港美術教育協會與蘋果電腦國際有限公司及信港電腦有限公司在1998年合辦了「美術與設計：電腦運用」工作坊，以實習及經驗分享的形式進行。工作坊的內容分為三部份，由講解新發展的電腦軟件及運作模式、解釋基本的操作技巧及由前綠老師講述他們電腦教學的心得，如工作紙的製作、平面設計、創意的動畫以及國際互聯網頁的創作等。作者強調影像的各種功能如何能協助教學，而「資訊科技教育」是有著多個層面的學習活動，電腦美術設計祇是其中的一個環節而已。
