- Noting that "The how and what of science teaching are dependent on the why", the author argues in the paper that, in addition to the emergence of living in a scientific age, vocational preparation, and academic progress, science should also be taught as a cultural subject for all levels of schooling in any society. To the author, this includes scientific knowledge, scientific method, and the broad idea of scientific culture.
