- 作者指出作文命題由傳統命題、命題以至今日習用的條件命題，實已進步不少，既能考查學生的語言基本功，又有鮮明的教學目的。而條件命題分封閉型和開放型兩類，前者題目已包含了寫作的材料，限制性較強，日久會削弱學生思考分析和解決問題的能力。後者則祇提供寫作情境，著眼於誘發寫作，對思維訓練甚有幫助。作者認為要發展學生思維和提高其寫作水平，應發展開放型的條件命題作文，更要結合命題作文的優良傳統。教師要創造設難、解難和發展思維訓練的情境，引發學生的寫作興趣。（鄭佩芳整理）
