- 文章主要以中國大陸人民教育出版社當時出版的一套給合型教材和一套分科型教材，及香港出版的一套綜合型教材為例，來比較兩類教材的異同。綜合型方面，香港以課文為序，大陸以單元為序。作者認為後者比前者的優點多。香港沒有分科型教材。綜合與分科各有優點，前者四種能力容易貫通，後者系統性強。（何文勝整理）
