作者認為任何年級都可進行書法教學，但以小學低年級最為妥當，也最有成效。實施方法包括：利用毛筆筆劃圖示，從點劃的粗細變化引入，讓學生理解點劃與字的關係；通過板書示範，讓學生了解點劃之間的關係，注意做到筆斷而意連；從獨體字入手，讓學生了解字的結構安排，並寫好獨體字；從偏旁入手，讓學生了解合體字的組關係，練好合體字。（何文勝整理）
