- 作者指出，21世紀華人大都會的語文教育將面對國際化、本土化、現代化與民族化的問題；雙語教育模式將逐漸形成，面向調整。作者認為，語文能力的訓練成為教學首務；如何將語文教學、資訊科技、思考能力與現實生活相結合起來，是語文教學工作者應深思的。此外，作者建議建立全球性華語文的教研機構、編印教材，逐步開展華語區的文化交流活動，母語與華語、華語和英語等。（黃潔貞整理）
