- 廿一世紀是資訊科技發達和知識爆炸的時代，在全球化情境中，各地政府推出不少 教育改革以促進教育的發展；教育統籌委員會於2000年9月公佈了「香港教育制度改革建議」，對教育發展目標和改革提出建議。這篇文章整理新世紀後香港基礎教育的改革與發展，並就香港教改的成效作整體評論；除了十多年來所推行的教改和課改外，本文亦會分析中小學和幼稚園的發展，以及論述期間香港教育所面對的學生人口下降挑戰、優化教師隊伍和提倡學校自評文化等變化。[© 香港教師中心，2013.]
